Dr. Rice, and her entire crew are simply amazing. I am the proud owner of Niblet, an African crested porcupine. Unfortunately Niblet had an eye infection that needed immediate attention. Numerous calls to exotic vets in my home state of NC, and no success getting her seen in a resonable amout of time. The exotic vet in Raleigh did not want to see her at all. They referred me to NC State University . Finally State gave me an appointment a week out, then the next day called and postponed the appointment for another week, ( not acceptable at all). The doctors and staff are excellent! They genuinely care about their clients. Very professional and yet they make you and your pets comfortable right from the start. You It’s always such a pleasure to go to Oasis.

My partner and I have been using Oasis Small Animal and Exotic Pet vet for a few years now, and they always take care of our little stink puppies (rats). I've always seen nothing but quality care and compassion from staff and veterinarians alike, and have always had great experiences there.Though it is a bit of a sad story, one of the rats underwent emergency surgery for a lung tumor leading to a collapsed lung and passed away during the procedure (always a risk with those sorts of things, not the fault of the veterinarian at all)- a few days later we received a card and the heartfelt condolences of the staff, which certainly warmed our hearts.A+ service and exceptional...read full review

Dr. April Rice has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Richmond area for over 15 years and is excited to now own her own practice in Midlothian. We are happy to announce the addition of Dr. Lucy Haile, who has been practicing in Virginia the past 7 years. Drs.
