About Ivy Hill Cemetery Company of Alexandria
Ivy Hill Cemetery is an old but picturesque cemetery that has been well-preserved thanks to a group of dedicated neighbors. Established in 1856, it is the final resting place of many notable figures, from politicians to architects. The cemetery boasts beautiful and unique flora, some of which are placed near the gravestones. The staff at Ivy Hill Cemetery are described as extremely helpful and professional, going above and beyond to assist families, even those who live far away in Texas. Visitors can explore the grounds, which include paved and unpaved trails, though running is not allowed. Overall, Ivy Hill Cemetery is a peaceful and quiet place that offers a glimpse into the area's history.
This is an old but very pretty cemetery. The staff are extremely helpful and professional. It took a while but the staff were great at helping my family get grave markers put on our family graves. The staff went above and beyond to help us get what we needed. It is difficult because we live in Texas so we can't just drive over to visit or deal with cemetery staff. The staff have always done everything needed to make sure our family grave site looks its best and remains presentable. My only advice is to communicate openly with the cemetery staff so you get exactly what your are looking for (site, stone, foundation etc.) Thank you Ivy Hill for all you have done for my family… read full review
