What a beautiful historic cemetery! Started in 1856, it's the resting place of many famous people from politicians to architects. The cemetery also has beautiful and unique flora, some placed near gravestones. Thanks to a group of dedicated neighbors, the cemetery is well-preserved. I was able to explore the grounds via car on a April Tuesday morning.

I want to give a "SHOUT OUT" to Lucy for all her kindness during this difficult time. We are burying our brother. She had a table out, as promised, for some of our more modest flower arrangements. She was also very friendly, warm, and kind with her words on the phone. Thank you all for a beautiful service today.

Ivy Hill is still an active cemetery for sales and burials as well as an historic destination for visitors from all over the world. The Cemetery is a beautiful place to visit loved ones, or just to experience an oasis of peace and tranquility in a busy and crowded urban area.
