The vet called me between every single decision they had to make, he was always completely transparent about the price, there were no surprise add-ons. His communication was clear and consistent and even when the emergency surgery went beyond what he expected, he stuck with his original quote because he knew money was a concern for us. “20 yrs ago when I lived in Vegas, my horse coliced. The vet in Vegas had already billed me 1200 for treating him and he wasnt getting better. I was in college and didnt have thousands of dollars laying around. They wanted over 5 k in addition to what I had already paid. Every day I thought my horse wasnt going to make it to the next day, but he did. After 5 days I called every vet within 5 hrs and was eventually referred to south valley. The vet actually spoke with me by phone and explained the situation. He told.me if I could get him there, they would care for him as long as I could.make payments. No contract, they just trusted that I would. We'll we got him there, it was an 8 hr trip, they did surgery the next day, he didnt have a full twist blocki g it completely, thats how he was still alive, but the twist was still blocking 90% so his gut had not been compromised and just needed to be untwisted. He spent 10 days there and my entire bill was 2700...I paid 1500 and sent money every month til.it was paid off. My horse made a full recovery, not just to be pasture sound, but he returned to competition. After that he took 3 different girls to high school national finals. He was 9 when this occurred and I lost him at 19...im forever greatful to the vets at south valley...they are truly wonderful..“
