“I’ve waited two weeks to post this review because I was too in awe of my dog’s progress with The Canine Mind. I enrolled my 1-year-old hound mix, Raina, in the two-week board and train program. And I’m telling you that this team is literally a group of doggie cognitive psychologists — and this is coming from a human cognitive psychologist. In two weeks, my dog received a level of training that I probably couldn’t have achieved in my lifetime (let alone two weeks). She is excellent off leash now, generally more responsive, and better at overall manners (no longer jumping on visitors in my house, for example). If I were to chat with younger me, I would have totally enrolled my first dog in this type of program. This foundation is essential for having a good quality of life with your dog. It still takes a lot of learning + work on the human side, but I’d say this program was absolutely worth every dollar. My dog is better in every aspect of behavior, despite maintaining the fundamental personality traits that make her who she is. THANK YOU!“

“It has been said that the most important thing in communication is to hear what isn't being said. While working with Joanne she taught me to observe the unspoken language of my dog. I have a 6-year-old male Yorkie who was marking in the house, leaping out of his kennel and biting whoever let him out, and not coming to me when called. Through the patient guidance and incredible knowledge of dog and human behavior Joanne helped me develop a strategy to improve his behaviors. We met weekly via live personalized online one-on-one sessions. Through these Joanne could observe my dog and our relationship and offer guidance to help improve his behaviors. My dog has learned quickly, and I am still using the lessons I learned from Joanne with him and look forward to emails with continued training tips.“

“I have used this facility for daycare many times and have seen the care staff provides. Each dog is assessed and individual needs are met. The kindness extended to the dogs is above and beyond. I would not board my dog or use any other daycare in the entire county! ( SLC)“

“Madeline mock is quite the character we enjoyed our time passing treats to the dogs and hearing what Madeline had to tell us. We was concerned that our deaf boy neko wouldn’t be able to get along with any dogs. But we ended up leaving neko overnight to socialize with the other dogs. And he’s doing a lot better. Not perfect but better. And we adopted the cutest husky name pudge We would highly recommend this place.“

“I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! I was in town for a class and needed a safe, loving place for my dog, cinnamon, to stay during the day. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had found the perfect spot. The staff at camp bark a lot treated cinnamon like family from the very first day.
