“I’ve taken my dog to Brickyard Kennel twice in the past few months. This is one of the few places in SLC that could accommodate to reactive dogs like mine and she was able to get alone time with the staff. I received some videos of her playing which made me feel much more at ease & I know she had a good time because she’d be smiling ear to ear when I’d pick her up! I also noticed they clipped her nails (which are close to impossible for me to clip on my own) so thank you so much for that! I appreciate you guys caring for my sweet girl. I would definitely recommend, especially for the affordable price and accommodation to reactive pups“

“We adopted a 10-week-old rescue puppy who didn’t have much opportunity to learn from her mother, so we wanted to be proactive about training and potential behavior challenges. We enrolled our puppy, Moodong in the one-month Puppy Scholar program at Train Walk Poop, and it was a great decision.
Our trainer, Kristen, and the entire staff were fantastic. They really took the time to understand our needs and made sure we, as owners, were learning alongside our puppy so the training would be effective at home. Their approach focuses on positive reinforcement rather than punishment, which we truly appreciate.
We’ve been very happy with both their philosophy and the results. On top of that, their drop-off (6–9 AM) and pick-up (5–7 PM) times are incredibly convenient for anyone with an early or late work schedule.

“I’ve waited two weeks to post this review because I was too in awe of my dog’s progress with The Canine Mind. I enrolled my 1-year-old hound mix, Raina, in the two-week board and train program. And I’m telling you that this team is literally a group of doggie cognitive psychologists — and this is coming from a human cognitive psychologist. In two weeks, my dog received a level of training that I probably couldn’t have achieved in my lifetime (let alone two weeks). She is excellent off leash now, generally more responsive, and better at overall manners (no longer jumping on visitors in my house, for example). If I were to chat with younger me, I would have totally enrolled my first dog in this type of program. This foundation is essential for having a good quality of life with your dog. It still takes a lot of learning + work on the human side, but I’d say this program was absolutely worth every dollar. My dog is better in every aspect of behavior, despite maintaining the fundamental personality traits that make her who she is. THANK YOU!“

“We were having quite a tough time managing our girl Wednesday before we found dog training elite. She was very reactive on leash, had a habit of jumping fences and we had to make major adjustments to the way we lived our lives just to keep her and others safe.

We’re only halfway through the program and the difference is already night and day. Walks are actually enjoyable now, her escape artist tendencies have stopped, and we have real peace of mind when we take her anywhere with us. It sounds dramatic but it genuinely has been life-changing. Yes, the price can be daunting at first, but it has been well worth it.

“I'm one of those weirdos who treats my dogs like family-they sleep on the bed, climb all over everything in the house and eat very well. So when I travel or work long days and need someone to look after the pups, I'm very particular about where they go. A friend referred me to Camp Bow Wow and I've used them several times. So far, my dog hasn't said anything good or bad about her experience, but she seems happy enough to go inside with a staff member. While I appreciate the service they provide, it is a bit pricey, so I have to be selective about when I bring my dog here. I'd love to be able to bring her more often, but I have to ration our visits until I hit the jackpot.“

“I cannot speak highly enough of Liberty Bark!! I have a very shy and nervous little dog and the staff has been nothing but patient and loving with her. Initially I was just grateful to find a doggie daycare that takes all dogs because Leia was too nervous for other facilities to take her. Knowing they could care for her specific needs was such a relief. Over the times I have sent her to daycare, day school, and boarding our sweet girl has found her confidence and comfort around new people and dogs. Every staff member is highly skilled and so wonderful. I can’t thank them enough for helping us help Leia live her best life. Five stars isn’t enough.“

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Puppy Lounge. From the moment we walk in, the entire team makes it clear that they genuinely love what they do — and more importantly, they truly love the dogs in their care.
Our dog can be nervous and anxious in new environments, and finding a boarding facility that handles that with patience and compassion is not easy. Puppy Lounge is the rare exception. The staff is incredibly sweet and gentle, always taking the time to let our pup feel comfortable at his own pace rather than rushing through the process. You can just tell they pay attention to each dog as an individual.

“My husky got sprayed by a skunk and I wasn’t sure what to do so I called the Doggy Den. Thankfully Bindy (the owner) answered and graciously told me that she would help me wash my dog if I came in. My husband was out of town so I was SO relieved that someone could help me. She got me right back to a tub and spent over an hour helping me get the smell out. On a Saturday, no less! I’m so impressed by this business and owner, I would highly highly recommend. You can tell they really care about animals and are knowledgeable in what they do.“

“Working with Johanna at Legged Scholars was a game-changer for us and our Rottweiler. We went the online training route — which I was skeptical about at first — but it turned out to be way more effective than the in-person sessions we'd tried before. Without the distractions of a new environment and other dogs, our girl could actually focus and absorb what we were teaching her.

Johanna backs everything up with a ton of resources: video libraries you can rewatch anytime, and a personalized Trello board packed with training tips tailored specifically to our dog. Having everything organized in one place made it easy to stay consistent between sessions.

“My little terror needed some socialization and to burn off energy. My long works days are hard for my dog so I wanted to try doggie daycare at least once a week. City Pet Club is literally on my way to work so I thought I'd give it a try. Took once for grooming and now twice for daycare and I am so pleased with everything. The staff have been so great and sweet to my nervous guy. I love the cameras so I can peek in during the day - gives me peace of mind my pup is safe and socializing. Very reasonably priced, convenient, great staff, nice facility and great dogs. Highly recommend!“
