I actually went to this office by mistake to see a physician who was affiliated with, but did not practice at this location. Instead of sending me away with a “wrong address,” they offered to help me and were able to quickly find the office where I needed to go. I would not have found it without their care. Many times I read about the poor service provided by physician office staff. I am happy to report that these friendly folks will go above and beyond to help out and make sure patients are cared for. Thanks to the very kind people who helped me!
TLDR: Ordered unauthorized test that was completed at a lab outside my network without my knowledge.I went in for a simple urine test for work offshore. The physical was done and billed properly thru my insurance, 100% coverage. A regular blood test as part of the physical was also done and billed through Quest Labs, also in network. Oaks Medical Center lied to me about the charges. I asked how much will the test cost and they told me $320. A month later I get a bill for over $5000. I'm livid. I will be reporting them to the BBB. I would have used my insurance if I knew it was going to cost that much. They did not review charges in the paperwork before the test was completed. If they had, I would have gladly not taken the test. STOP LYING TO PEOPLE!!!!!
