About The Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio
The Westin Riverwalk is a hotel that offers a pleasant stay, with staff that are friendly and go above and beyond to provide great service. The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions, and guests can enjoy the availability of actual cribs for young children. The bartender, Robert, was excellent and able to accommodate all requests, making a wedding celebration even more enjoyable. The hotel has a lovely lobby, and guests can easily access the Riverwalk through the hotel's entrance. The rooms are large with big windows, comfortable beds, well-appointed bathrooms, and mini dry bars. The hotel also features a rooftop pool, although some guests may find the pillows to be flat and the duvet to vary in thickness between beds. The hotel's bar and restaurant serve delicious dinner and breakfast, and the room service is also highly praised. The hotel's staff, from the valet and bellhop to the event organizers, have been described as kind and helpful, ensuring a perfect stay and event experience for guests.
We had a balcony room overlooking the Riverwalk which was really nice. The entire experience at the Westin San Antonio was positive one. The entire staff was customer service oriented. I highly recommend.
Overall our stay was nice and we would return only if the pool were heated, rooms weren’t so cold, prices on vending goes down a bit, and valet goes down a bit especially if we are expected to tip. The location is absolutely amazing. We adjusted the room temp to 80 yet it still felt like 60. The pool area had no lights and the water was super cold and that’s one of the reason I chose this hotel. The staff was very helpful all the way around though. I wish we would have eaten at the restaurant!
This is a 3-Star review overall, but a 4-Star if you include the GREAT LOCATION. Some of the front test staff and bellman are excellent. However, they were EXTREMELY UNDERSTAFFED March 12-17, 2026. I called various departments from suite phone perhaps 15 times and each time had a LONGGG Wait or no answer. Job 1 Hotel: ANSWER THE PHONE! Often, no one answered. Grossly understaffed. No Server at pool bar on a SATURDAY. Coffee shop OFTEN OUT of many products or closed. Coffee shot needs to be open 6A to 6P or similar. Random hours on a weekend. Them, some loon decided to wash/clean the carpets Saturday night and then ALL CHAIRS in lobby were closed on the biggest checkout...read full review
