About Shades of Green
Shades of Green is a large nursery that offers a wide variety of plants, both indoor and outdoor. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, always ready to assist customers in finding specific items and giving advice on plant selection. The nursery carries a good stock of soils and amendments, and is known for recommending varieties that thrive in the local area. Customers appreciate the personalized service and expertise, even though prices may be slightly higher than larger chain stores. Many customers prefer to spend a little extra here because of the honest opinions and helpful guidance they receive. The nursery's scenery is beautiful, making it one of the prettiest setups in San Antonio, and it is a favorite place for organic vegetable starts. Visitors often find new options each week to take home for their gardens.
