Both jujitsu and karate are very easy to learn a pick up thanks to the instructors. Easy to understand progression as well as life applicable topics through discipline and focus. Been training here for almost 7 years now and both the kids and adult classes are unmatched in friends you can meet, fun you can have as well as actually learn how to protect yourself and not just karate.“

10AM - 7PM
8112 Tezel Rd, San Antonio“There are so many reasons to love this school. Yes your kids will learn karate skills, they'll learn self defense, they'll learn how to deal with bullies but the character development and leadership that they will learn is what I love so much. So often my husband and I will be speaking with our son about life lessons we hope to teach him and without speaking with Sensei Pierce, he will share the same message. Having our son in a karate school with biblical principles incorporated was a no brainer but seeing God work in our son's life through his sensei is truly a blessing.
All of the instructors make this place truly special and the kids are not just students, they become family.“

311 Spencer Ln, San Antonio“Good Spirit Tai Chi Chuan is an excellent experience. I have been attending for five months. The instructor, Nameer Kirma, establishes a welcoming environment for the classes, which slowly build the flexibility, skills, and mindset to practice Tai Chi. The class encompasses both experienced and novice students, with each group working on building skills at their current level of training. Nameer helps each individual refine their movements with clear explanations and demonstrations. He is very patient!“

It’s affordable and everyone of all ages including the instructors are welcoming and friendly. Sensei Gadier and the other instructors are skilled and patient. They offer group and private lessons. Their studio is clean and large with a seating area for parents.“

1432 Austin Hwy UNIT 102, San Antonio“We are about a month into our son's training and the experience has been great. The instructors are professional and stay dedicated to his learning, on and off of the mat. With forms to give to his teachers at school and forms for us to fill out at home, he stays motivated to succeed. If we have concerns or problem areas, we are welcomed to talk with his instructors and they help us by incorporating that into the lesson.
Activities and extra classes are relayed through the app and this makes it easy to stay in the loop on special training days or even events like parents night, etc.
Tools, equipment and ppe is offered for purchase at the studio or through the app so there isn't any need to waste extra time searching for where to buy the tools he needs to progress through his belts.
Overall we are very pleased and can't wait to see where he can be in a few months even weeks time.“
9AM - 9PM
1583 Thousand Oaks Dr #111, San Antonio“We absolutely love Kung Jung Mu Sul of Texas! All three of my kids have been in their after-school program for a few years now, and it’s been such a great experience. The instructors are amazing — they’re not just teaching martial arts; they’re helping the kids build real-world skills like respect, discipline, and responsibility. They also work closely with parents and even teachers when needed to help address any behavior issues, which makes such a huge difference. Plus, they’re fantastic with special needs kids — patient, supportive, and really tuned in to what each child needs. This place is more than just a martial arts school — it’s like a second family. We’re so grateful to be part of it!“

12355 Potranco Rd Suite 104, San Antonio“During the past two years, I have been training Japanese Jiu-Jitsu under the instruction of Sensei Eduardo De La Garza. I had always wanted to do some form of martial arts, but never got around to it. What kept me away from training martial arts and more specifically Jiu-Jitsu, was that most places seemed competition based and I had heard a lot of stories about serious injuries. As someone in their thirties, these were the two biggest issues for me before I began my training and this is where Sensei Eduardo really excels. Training at Eduar-Do has the perfect balance of competition, real life training and safety. We train hard, we train competitively, but we also train safely. I have had no injuries to date. All of the fellow classmates I have encountered have been great to work with and have a great understanding of what our training is about. No one here has an ego and everyone works hard to bring the best out of each other. I have seen improvement not just in Japanese Jiu Jitsu, but in my overall strength, conditioning and mindset. The real life situational training has also provided me peace of mind if I were to ever be in a situation that required self defense. When you factor in the quality of instruction and the cost of the classes, there is no greater value in Japanese Jiu Jitsu than training under the instruction of Sensei Eduardo De La Garza. It has been an amazing experience so far and I look forward to improving more and more at Eduar-Do.“

20711 Wilderness Oak #106, San Antonio“I've been emailing and calling different gyms to find a class for my son. He'll be turning 3 in a few days. There are a few who will take them not potty trained yet. I let them know he's on pull ups and it was fine. They got back to me promptly with emails and got him into a trial class within a couple days. We got there and one of owners Juliana greeted us. She was super nice and friendly, explained everything and got a practice gi for my son. The other owner came and met us as well and took my son into the practice area to meet the coaches. They all were very kind and friendly. He had no problems at all. I was worried he would be too young and wouldn't be able to understand. After the class I met with coach Chris and he reassured me he did well and it would be good for him. I met with Juliana again to go over the breakdown and fees and how things work. They have a great promo right now til June 22nd. After leaving I knew we picked the right gym for my son. Everyone was friendly and they were all great with kids. Definitely recommend“

“Fantastic experience! The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, teaching with positive reinforcement. They welcomed my teen, who is a wheelchair user, and didn't blink at making accommodations for her. The training was a mix of demonstration, explanation for the technique, and plenty of time for repetition and practice.“
