My daughter trained with Coach Hrbek for over a year at the dojo, I would love to say hands down one of the best coaches ever. He is great with kids and his teaching methods are really good, he makes sure kids understand and teaches lots of great techniques. When we relocated to Dallas, we put her in another dojo, but she was invisible among 100 other kids, but at Universal she got her attention and training. Also, she got to train with the national and Olympic level athletes. I miss the dojo and coach Hrbek.

This is a Great Dojo for anyone wanting to study Judo. All ages train there, mixing technical and conditioning training. Experience levels range from never any experience in Judo to decades of Experience as a Judoka. Excellent Dojo, very Blessed to Have thisIn San Antonio. ?

Unbelievably amazing academy!!! I travel all over the country training mma, and visit all kinds of academies, and this one stands out. The atmosphere and family vibe is incredible. You can sense the love for one another in this place. And Coach Jim’s technique, explanation, analogies, and skill level are mind-blowing. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re tossing up checking this place out, then don’t hesitate to drop in and say hey- you’ll see all this for yourself!!
