CityVet | Southtown is a full-service veterinarian clinic. The staff are friendly, very informative, and genuinely caring. The team, including Dr. Romero and Dr. Romeo, is professional and provides quality care. The clinic is warm and welcoming, with staff who remember pets by name and treat them like family. The team takes the time to truly look deeper into issues and build plans that actually work, transforming the health of pets. From easy check-ins to thorough explanations of procedures and possible complications, the service is quick and the best. The clinic also provides wonderful attention and support during difficult moments, including end-of-life care, with compassion, empathy, and grace. This team truly shows up for animals and provides care that is far from average.
I want to give a huge, heartfelt shout-out to City Vet Southtown and especially Dr. Romero and her amazing team.
For over two years, I was trying to figure out what was going on with my cat. He was struggling with severe cat acne and what eventually turned into noticeable alopecia. At one point, he had lost most of the fur on his stomach and legs, and after seeing three or more vets with no clear answers, I honestly felt stuck and worried.

Our pre-spay appointment was our first time visiting the Southtown CityVet location. Check-in was easy. Vet tech Maru was friendly and thorough. Dr Romeo was professional and informative in explaining the scheduled procedure, possible complications as well as post-op instructions. Our overall take-away was a good one and we look forward to having our pup as a patient here for future care.
Update: Within a couple weeks after spaying my dog, my son brought his young dog in for an ear infection and we brought my daughter’s pup in after suffering a horrific freak accident. Thankfully, she’s received wonderful attention and is healing well. So glad we found Southtown...read full review
I believe in destiny. I believe there are moments in life when certain people are placed in your path at exactly the right time—and that is exactly how I feel about AJ, Dr. Romeo, and the entire team at CityVet Southtown.
From our urgent phone call asking if we could come in—even though Abbey was not an existing patient—to the compassion we were shown from the moment we pulled into the parking lot, their team met us with immediate kindness, empathy, and grace.
