Had the Delta variant of COVID back in 2021 and was moved here.
The hospital was in shambles. Of course that was how COVID was. Most nurses were kind and dedicated but the whole floor was understaffed and I frequently had to push the help button 10-15 minutes before I thought I’d need help.
IDK what was going on with the kitchen but I missed at least one meal every day. When my food was delivered it was always stone cold, so after 4 days I ordered Chili’s to be DoorDashed there and sweet talked a CNA to getting it for me from the front desk. First and only decent meal I had. My husband and I still laugh about that- Doordashing food to the hospital.
Shannon saved my mom's life! I took her into Shannon South Tuesday, 2/28/2026. She was having congestive heart failure. That ER was amazing. They stabilized her, transported her to the main hospital downtown, and the care and attention she has received there is impeccable. God bless everyone working for Shannon Medical Centers!
This hospital has always gone above and beyond when ive been seen. I go to several doctors affiliated through shannon and I always get excellent care. Only had a couple things go wrong but it's always been fixed. Would recommend going here in an emergency.
