Dr. Milne gets my thanks, having helped me without any expectation of payment or reward for his much-appreciated personal kindness.
I wish I could repay the gesture, but he was more interested in having me pay the service forward.
As you may be aware, I rarely review practitioners because sometimes relationships can turn on a dime. And I guess I should wait longer to review Dr Milne but I had an incredible first experience that I want to share. I first made a call to the practice Tuesday to inquire if they took my insurance. My call back was from Dr Milne. He confirmed that he took my insurance and was able to get me in for an appointment two days later. He emailed me the new patient forms to complete before arrival. The information requested was detailed and thorough, but not overly complex. When I arrived for my appointment on Thursday, Dr Milne was at the front desk. It turned out that he was covering the front desk and his practice at the same time because the staff member needed off to care for an ill family member. To me that spoke volumes about who he was and his core values. He asked for a few minutes to review and then he took me back to the exam room. We talked a bit at first about my previous chiropractic experience and what sort of adjustment I was expecting. I felt this was great considering there were some practitioners who limit their therapy to activators and e-stimulation. We spent about 5 minutes talking about what he would do before he even laid hands on me. The other interesting thing is that he told me up front that he's not a "planned visits" chiropractor. He gives you stretching exercises to help you maintain and avoid future visits rather than keeping you on a never-ending chain of scheduled visits. That's a practice that I've only seen one other place at Airrosti clinics. As we concluded the session, I reconfirmed when I should return. He told me to give stretching exercises a try for one to two weeks and then let him know how it's going. He basically said I didn't have to come back if I didn't feel I needed to. I've never seen a chiropractor do that before. I highly recommend Dr Milne if you're in search of a chiropractor who takes insurance. I think it makes a lot more sense to have a plan to avoid the doctor and benefits the patient in the long run then to benefit the doctor and inconvenience the patient.
Professional. Prompt. Effective. Knowledgeable. Personable. Brought my son to him, twice. He plays football and had some back pain. I'm bringing my other son and myself to see Dr. Milne in the near future. Our daughter, daughter-in-law, and DIL's family highly recommended him. We're glad they did.
