I have been a member of this gym for over a year. I like location, the hours, and the staff has been friendly. The reason for the three stars only is that equipment has been routinely out of service the whole time I've been a member. They have two leg extension machines in the main workout area. Both are currently out of service and have been for a few weeks. One of the two has not been functioning in foreveeeeeerrrrr....I mean months! They have 5 smith machines and at least one is routinely out of service. And for some reason, they removed one of the two leg press machines. Clean gym, not as busy as you would think or expect, being in Plano, which I don't mind from a standpoint of getting access to equipment and machines :). Staff is very friendly and gym is well kept.
This is my local Planet Fitness. It seems that there is always something out of order at this gym, that is the con that immediately comes to mind. However, the pros do outweigh this. The staff is always friendly and I was / have been thoroughly impressed with that. One of the staff even comes and gives me the occasional knuckle bump. No one calls me out by name, but the staff still makes me feel welcome. The other pro is that the gym always seems clean, which is another huge pro. I always see one of the staff cleaning or wiping the equipment down. Overall, it gets a 8.0 out of 10. I won't complain about the weight because you can always just add reps.
