About Friendship Animal Clinic
Friendship Animal Clinic is a veterinary practice that receives strong recommendations from many clients. It is described as a go-to vet where the staff absolutely cares so much for animals, showing great compassion for both pets and their owners. The main doctor is noted as being very polite and professional, taking great care of the animals. Many clients express deep trust in the clinic, stating they can't imagine trusting anyone else with their pets. The clinic is praised for its affordable prices and great service, with specific mention of cost-effective treatments and vaccinations. It offers same-day appointments for emergencies, which clients find very helpful. However, experiences with the nursing staff can vary. While the front desk staff is consistently noted as sweet, nice, and helpful, some assistants have been perceived as standoffish, rude, or rough with animals when the doctor is not present. A convenience fee has also been mentioned as an unexpected charge. Despite these occasional inconsistencies in staff demeanor, the overall sentiment highlights a clinic where the doctors treat pets with the professionalism and compassion that owners seek.
I will never stop recommending this vet. They absolutely care so much for animals and it really shows. Dr. Taylor and all of his staff show compassion for you and your pet and I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my pets. People who know me, know my pets are my family. They go everywhere with me and when one of them is sick it's extremely upsetting. My little Mischief had what was either a ruptured abscess or a puncture wound from our fence and I was luckily able to get a same day appointment and they treated him so well. Not only did Dr. Taylor take great care of my boy but his prices are so affordable. I was really nervous of having to dig into my savings to pay for Mischief's treatment but it was a lot cheaper than I was expecting. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet with professionalism and compassion definitely go here. Can't wait till mischiefs cut is all healed up for our next family road trip.
This has been my go-to vet in Lubbock since I started going to college here and adopted two kitties. Normally they are really great and all of the staff is sweet and helpful- today when I went it was a little different.. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful, but the nurses who assisted with my cat in the checkup room were very standoffish and rude in demeanor. It was a younger girl with dark hair and a younger white male. Neither one of them said a single word to me, besides the male when he weighed my cat and told me i could take her out of the carrier and put her back in the carrier. He was very rough with my cat when holding her down on the table, especially when the doctor wasn't even in the room/there was no treatment occurring. There were also several times, when no one else was in the room, where he would take a hand off of the cat and aggressively blow the cat hair off of him.... just seemed weird for a vet staff member to do in front of a customer, or at all really. Tried to talk to him a little bit but didn't get anything in return. The main Doctor was very polite and seemed to be doing everything he could to treat my cat- no issues there. I was in for an emergency visit due to my cat throwing up blood after eating some foreign objects, a totaled $200+ visit. Including a convenience fee that no one told me about before I brought my cat in. I still paid it but nevertheless, If i'm paying over $200 anywhere, regardless of the service being provided, I expect a certain level of kindness and respect from the members/staff interacting with me. I think that's just common curtesy right next to good old southern hospitality. This should also apply no matter how much the customer is spending. I work in customer service and am probably around the same age as those nurses so I know it does not take a lot to be kind to someone, and it's not just a generational thing.
I've been coming here a couple times here and honestly, 10/10 on both prices and service. Brought three of my pets here to get boosters and got all three for $160. You won't find anywhere better!!
