“So far so good Doctor Hu is a Golden God Flew out from San Francisco a few weeks ago to get an evaluation after my HMO in California told me there were no lenses available to correct vision and that they could only take out my injury induced cataract. In addition because of the shape of my eye no corrective lenses were available as I was football shaped instead of basketball shaped My dad said no way that's BS come out and have Texas Eye Institute evaluate My first appointment lasted three hours while they evaluated my condition and put me through every test imaginable. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I flew out last Tuesday and had the surgery on Thursday by Friday. The next day I was at 20/20 in my right eye with a vivity toric lens. That's right 24 hours after having the surgery I was already at 20/20. Ahead of the curve but I'll take it The surgery center is no different. I mentioned that I was having extreme nerves and they gave me some dissolvable Valium and the procedure went so great. I can't wait to get my other eye done in August after I get back from my trip. They also did one of my father's eyes and he is also at 2020 at 84 years old. Highly recommend this place“

“Dr Orth is an excellent eye dr. Unlike others that rush you when asking "which one is sharper? This one or that one?", she is patient with you and honestly wants to get the right measurements for your eyes. This is especially important when taking your kiddos as they don't feel rushed to answer and end up giving wrong answer as they feel pressured to hurry up. As this happened to my young son at another eye dr and his new eye glasses were wrong for him as a result. So I really appreciate Dr Orth as she truly cares about your eye sight.“
