“In town for some dr appointments they made it really easy to set up my first class the coaches where knowledgeable and friendly really focusing on me lifting correctly cause my form is pretty bad sometimes and modify the workout to fit my abilities thank you for the great workout and look forward to this being my new gym when I finally move to houston“

“This is a maybe bc I just started this week but hoping I made the right decision!! The gym is nice and intimate which is what I was looking for. Communication is ok, had a scheduled call and no one answered or called me until the day after the scheduled call but just show up or reach out to your point of contact I guess if that happens and wait? The hours work for me early mornings! Love that the trainers are there for that one on one training guiding and cheering you on and that you can do cardio after your session. There are several packages to choose from i went with the 2 a week 30 mins session just to see how I like it and it saved me money. That first session is not a session though they charge you to weigh and go over meals that's supposed to work for you but there was no changes to my diet so the page was kind of blank but my portion sizes were there so i feel that should've been done in the consultation. You also have to ask for your before pictures to be taken and assuming the afters too. Everyone will probably have different experiences so I would recommend going in for a consultation and seeing if this is the right fit for you. Excited for this journey in the meantime. Will follow up with another review after my 3rd month :)“

“Scott and his team have been great! I came here 5-6 months ago, never really having any training/gym experience, and he has both taught me how to work out and helped me gain noticeable strength, balance, mobility, and muscle definition. He's also very attentive to a couple injuries I arrived with, and he has pushed me to strengthen those without taking it too far and aggravating them. I originally planned this as a pre-wedding training package, but I now intend to stick with it long-term!“

“Update: I recently had a body composition analysis performed. While I’m overweight, my muscle mass numbers were above average for my age (53). I’ve since added in more cardio & am starting to see results. I could not have done the cardio classes 2 years ago, when I first started visiting these guys.Original ReviewI’ve been working out here since October of 2021. I initially started post Covid with breathing issues. Working out has significantly helped minimize my asthma.The gym is clean, personal & the guys know what they are doing. Mel’s background in physical therapy is a life saver when issues pop up. He’s worked on hip & neck hot spots for me that are a result of age & sitting at a desk all day. If I were going to a normal gym, I’d probably just skip working out when I get a tight muscle or crick in my neck. Here, they help me get back to normal quicker.“

“The best place if you don't just wanna stay fit and build strength but also to be surrounded by a really nice and very supportive people. The community here is incredible! The owner Ben is also very involved , dedicated and ready to chat and help. Coaches are very supportive too and always answer any question and let you know if you are not moving correctly. I love this place in many aspects and definitely suggest it to anyone who is in the middle of choosing the gym.“

“I was looking for a trainer who understands women's bodies and the challenges we face as we get older. I knew from our first meeting that Dawn gets it. I started seeing results in my upper body after two weeks. After 4 weeks my clothes fit better, my posture has improved, and I have biceps again! I feel stronger than I have in decades and I have confidence in my body again. Dawn is positive and encouraging. “After only a couple weeks using the YAX Online program, our daughter could feel her mobility improving. This program has given her the tools to recover in ways that are specific to her needs and she loves the many options available to her. It's provided the best balance to her full schedule of gym workouts, personal trainings on the field, and practices/games. We weren't sure how diligent she'd be with an online platform since we aren't local, but she turns to YAX at least 3-4 times per week...consistently! Patricia checks in on her progress, so it still feels personal even though it's online. She's just an email or phone/zoom call away for support.“

“When I started training a year ago with Walter, I had constant hip/back pain. Moving, sitting, and sleeping was painful. Walter created a personalized workout that focused on increasing my strength and flexibility. I am now back to playing tennis and my neighbors have even commented on how fit I am.Walter varies the workouts so you are not bored, while also making them challenging for your fitness level. “I contacted/visited four personal training studios in central Houston before deciding to start small group training at Avenu. I've been going 1-2 times/week for a couple months now and find myself looking forward to working out with Cassie each week. Their 30 minute sessions with a few (1-3) other women are the perfect model for efficiency, motivation and attention to form. They have a ton of equipment/space/resources and mix things up to keep it fresh and engaging. I'm so glad I found them and highly recommend the studio!“
