They are always on time, and if running behind, they communicate via text or phone. They are the only mechanical contractor that responded late on a Saturday night for an emergency need, jumping on the service call immediately and repairing a freezer in under 2 hours. For an old air conditioner replacement, they made an appointment quickly, were always on time, and very helpful with questions. Recently, a power surge damaged a surge protector, and after emailing at night, they called first thing the next morning to schedule an appointment. Highly recommended as the go-to for AC/heat maintenance or replacement, ensuring a worry-free summer.
We live in southwest Houston and had an issue with an older Trane HVAC system that’s still running on R-22.
In mid-August, during peak Houston heat, the system stopped working. The issue turned out to be a failing capacitor. I picked up a replacement but wanted an experienced HVAC contractor to confirm the diagnosis and install it properly.
I called Space City Mechanical and the owner, Cheetos, came out the same day. He inspected the system carefully, explained what he was seeing, and replaced the capacitor correctly.
He also went above and beyond by cleaning the condenser coils and clearing out leaves and debris, which helped the system run more efficiently.
