“I went to Oasis Massage seeking relief from painful knots and tension in my shoulders and neck from strength training. Wendy did a phenomenal job with my deep tissue massage and although there were obviously some painful moments as she worked on the trigger points, her approach made it much more comfortable than I ever would have expected. She thoroughly explained what she was feeling in my muscles and tendons as the massage progressed so I would have a clear understanding of what was causing the pain (knots, tension or inflammation.) “The staff made sure we understood the standard procedure for what we could expect with Swedish massage or Deep tissue massage. I think I ended up asking for something more along the lines of Swedish massage even though I booked us for a deep tissue couples massage. My husband and I really enjoyed it and will be sure to follow the instructions to hydrate to help clear any lactic acid from our wonderful massages. My therapist (Joy) was really responsive during the massage to my requests to increase or decrease pressure depending on what each area of my body could tolerate. And, Kjirsten was careful around a previous injury in my husband's shoulder. I appreciated that (: I was honestly sad when our time was up. The massage felt really good!!“

“Honest Experience Great Service, But Confused About Pricing.

This was my first time visiting Designer Glitz & Glamour, and I want to start by saying the staff was very kind and helpful. My sister hadn’t had her hair brushed or detangled in over a year, and it was extremely matted. The stylists were very understanding and didn’t make us feel judged or embarrassed. Multiple stylists took turns helping to gently work through the tangles and tried their best to save as much hair as possible.

They did end up having to cut more than 7 inches because the hair couldn’t be brushed through. The photo I have was taken before they trimmed it again to even everything out.

The only part that left me unsure was the cost of the relaxer. I was originally told it would be around $180, but I was charged $250. Later, I saw on the website that chemical services are listed at $70, so the price difference was confusing. I don’t go to salons often, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I do wish the final cost had been explained more clearly before the service started.

We were there from around 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., so I completely understand that it took a lot of time and effort. I just think it would help a lot if pricing for long or difficult services was discussed up front, so clients know what to expect before checking out.

Overall, I really appreciated the care and patience the team showed during a tough situation. I just think it would help a lot if pricing was made more transparent upfront, especially for clients who are new or unfamiliar with salon visits.“

My advice, if a client has an add-on as facial, start with the face and finish with the whole body massage including the feet. Even though she disinfected her hands, still I didnt feel comfortable having her touching my face after my feet. I hope this helps the Clinic’s continuous improvement. Also, I would like do not been pressured by the receptionist to purchase a membership. It is my choice and no pressure should be putting on.“
