Dr. Leigh Johnston, Lead Veterinarian Partner at CityVet | Frisco Lexington, began her journey as a technician and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Texas A&M University. She is passionate about providing personalized veterinary care and building trusted relationships with families. Dr. Johnston and her team focus on creating a comfortable, low stress experience for every pet while tailoring treatment plans. The team is always kind, gentle, and compassionate, especially with older pets and those with chronic issues. The staff is incredibly helpful, welcoming, and professional. Andrea is a huge help and puts clients at ease. The front office is good at replying to texts. The service is quick and well organized, and the office is very clean. Dr. Johnston is attentive, takes time to explain everything clearly, and communicates a plan. She listens, asks questions, and answers questions. She provides follow up emails after each appointment and does check ins. The team goes above and beyond by being patient and trying different avenues to help anxious pets. Clients feel heard, feel their pets’ needs are taken care of, and feel they are in great hands. The experience is excellent from start to finish.
I can’t remember names but every vet in this office does such a phenomenal job, I appreciate every single worker here. They’re just amazing!!!!
I’m switching my other two animals to this City Vet. Now all three of my fur babies will be in such great hands!

I’ve been going to city vet for years in different locations around DFW… Dr Johnston and her staff are the best I’ve ever experienced! I have a sweet bunny who has some chronic issues now that she’s older, and the staff at Lexington are always so kind and gentle with her. I love Dr Johnston’s assistant, Andrea, as well. She is so professional and puts me at ease if I ever have concerns. The front office is always so good at replying to my texts if I ever have a concerns. They have given a really good diagnosis and health plan to help manage my bunny’s symptoms. I had a great experience here. The doctor was very attentive and took the time to explain everything clearly. The entire staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made the visit feel very comfortable.
The service was also quick and well organized, which I really appreciated. Andrea speaks Spanish and was a huge help throughout the process, making communication much easier.
Overall, a very positive experience—I would definitely recommend this place!
