“I’ve been at Frequency for a little over 2 months now. It has been fantastic overall experience. Kyle, the instructor and owner, has created an environment of camaraderie where learning and improving is the foremost goal. Everyone I have rolled with has been kind and supportive. I couldn’t recommend this gym enough.“

“I want to give a huge shout out to Texas Isshinryu Karate Academy on Camp Bowie! I've been taking lessons there for just over a year and I love it so much. The instructors are truly top of the line (literally Master Ed Johnson is first generation student of the founder of the style from Okinawa so it is super legit). They have classes for youths as well as adults (even folks in their mid forties like me). It's a wonderful practice, fantastic for mental discipline and physical strength and the people there are the best. I'm so grateful to have found them just on the edge of our Ridglea Hills neighborhood! If you are looking for martial arts training for yourself or your family, I highly recommend TIKA.“

“Amazing. This is one of the top dojos in the country and it is all thanks to the exceptional people who volunteer here. This is a non-profit dojo and everyone is a volunteer here. There are so many positive things that I could say about this group. Come check it out. Youth classes are broken into three groups… beginners, intermediate, advanced. Adults are broken into the same three but intermediate and advanced work together more. Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7pm is the youth class and 7-8:30 is the adult class. Saturday from 10-11 is the youth class and 11-12:30 is the adult class.By the way my daughter is visually impaired and every one of the instructors and other students are patient and work so well with her. The other parents are supportive of her and this place has had such a positive impact. I have started taking classes here and I have never had such crazy hard workouts even with personal trainers in the past.“
