Hey yall, for those local to me: As some of yall know I’ve been very sick the last several years, and even with a whole care team of specialists at UT Southwestern we have made very limited progress, if any, in treatment and diagnosis. While trying to figure out my pelvic floor and digestive issues we did confirm me having pretty severe EDS further complicating some of the things going on. That being said, not a single medication has actually helped my symptoms. It’s like digestive disease and others have been trying to throw pharmaceuticals at me to just diagnose by what works since they are stumped, not caring that they’ve in fact made me more ill. My pursuit of relief led me to Foster Chiropractic in Flower Mound, where Dr Mason pretty quickly found my spine is twisting and contorting in the exact area I feel the most digestive distress. He was not hesitant to treat me even with me having EDS. The last few weeks being with them I have experienced more pain relief and digestive relief than at ANY OTHER POINT in this diagnostic journey. And at no other point in all of my scans and imaging did any other specialist acknowledge my now twisting spine and how that could be possibly related to what’s been happening. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. The very first appointment he found a spot on my spine that as soon as he worked it my stomach immediately started to gurgle, a sound it hadn’t made in days. I have worked in the massage industry for over 15 years, and have worked with several chiropractors over the years and have never been so impressed. “Dr. Shim is amazing! I had neuropathy in my feet and arthritis in my knees. He started treatment January 2024 two times a week. The treatment consisted of acupuncture, cupping, stretching, and spinal decompression. He does AcuGraph testing after 15 sessions and my results reflect major improvement.
