Joseph is straight forward in addressing issues and setting expectations. He explained why our dogs were behaving the way they were, and provided actionable steps to begin improving their behaviors and our abilities as owners. I appreciate how he works on principles, which have worked as a guide to continue confidently working with my dogs after our training sessions. I adopted two pitbull terriers. One is 8 years old and the other a year old. I initially tried training them myself and failed miserably. I then interviewed several trainers and decided to use Starr Dog Behavior after an in home visit with Joseph. He shared a wealth of information and the way he works with dogs. Joseph identified training needs and approach for each dog individually. After three weeks, the dogs are much more calm and relaxed and great companions.
