Sekrit Theater

Sekrit Theater is a beautiful and wonderful event space, a magical gem hidden in East Austin. It feels like walking into a fairy tale—magical, beautifully random, weird, and perfectly Austin. The greenhouse is simply beautiful and a bit magical; chandeliers in trees, a bus, and every inch of the place is whimsical to explore. It has a fun, campy vibe, and is kinda spooky at night, but that is the intent. The coordinators are good people and easy to work with. However, some structures are a bit worn and in need of cleaning or repair. There are minimal bathrooms and no well lit walkways. Also, one reviewer noted a super rude person answering the phone. Despite this, the surroundings are fantastically cute and very beautiful for photography, from the outdoor space to the gazebo, greenhouse, or stage. It is challenging to rate the spot itself, but many have had photo shoots here and recommend visiting for events like comedy shows. Booking ahead for a golden hour slot is suggested to catch the light in the greenhouse.
