Joey is an ultimate professional as a tattoo artist! He is very courteous, relatable, and awesome at his craft. This was a 1st time tattoo for my husband and I, and Joey made the experience delightful. We traveled from MO to TX just to have him service us. I am turning 60 this year and I decided to get my first ever tattoo. I did not know exactly the style I wanted but I had a few ideas. All I really knew was a butterfly and flowers. Joey immediately took to drawing and came up with a gorgeous design that was even more than I dreamed. I was not sure how my older skin would take a tattoo and how it would look as I continued to age. I really love Joey’s work. I moved to Austin about ten years ago and spent two years seeking an artist to work on an arm piece for me; at his suggestion, we started the first of two sleeves (the second of which is in progress, after about a two-year gap in between).
I’m generally an anxious and high-strung person, and his compassionate and professional nature helped set me at ease during the process. He invests in both the art that he creates and the people he works on which contributes more to the vibe of a therapy session rather than a tattoo session.
