GREEN COLLAR OPERATIONS Bill Cook - owner If you are having home insulation work done you ned to talk to this company. I retired as a customer service/ purchasing specialist so I am very particular. I have learned whenever looking for a vendor, always ask for no less than three bids, from 3 companies. If one company want to underbid a competitor after they have submitted a bid then run away. It is not ethical. None the less, Green Collar was about $1,000 more than their competitors (4,000.00 and $3750.00). Green Collar are very much locked into city rebates and has a good relationship with the city inspector. The inspector can be a real pain in the butt and Green Collar was ahead of the game about their expectations. It is nice to have a third party (city) inspecting work being done that I know nothing about! So Green Collar coordinated my receipt of a rebate check $1,200 (easy!) and now I have all the bells and whistles required. The other bidders did not offer any option like this. They showed upon time, did the work within projected time frame and happily return to address and fix a concern. It was above and beyond. Bill Cook, the owner runs an amazing operation. It is a cooperative group who actually like each other. That is the reflection of a good manager.
Wow! Can't say enough good things about Green Collar. Rob came out to build me a quote so quickly after my first contact. Got the quote back within a couple of hours of Rob leaving the house. From there I got put on their calendar quite quickly, only about a 2 week turnaround. The team completed the work while I was at the office. I came home to a clean and COMFORTABLE home. The green collar team was extremely respectful of my space during their work. Just in the first night alone I could feel a difference. My bedroom used to feel 5-10 degrees warmer than the rest of my home. Now I don't feel any difference when I walk into the bedroom. I can hear that the AC is running significantly less often and can't wait to see what kind of savings I'll have on my utility bill. Pricing was fair and reasonable, and I'm confident I'll see quite a bit of the cost return over the years in energy savings. Can't recommend Rob and his team enough!
