About Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH)
The Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) provides a supportive environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. The facility offers a Cooling Station during the summer months, where guests can sign in and enjoy air-conditioned comfort, restrooms, and free coffee and water. Residents of the facility can access three meals a day, free laundry services, and private showers and stalls. The facility has a strong focus on cleanliness and hygiene, with staff regularly addressing concerns and maintaining a pleasant environment. Residents can also access a garage for storing belongings, a large outdoor balcony, and a community area with a TV. On-site services include a Community Care clinic, a Medical Access Program representative, and a case management system to help residents obtain permanent housing. Overall, ARCH provides a welcoming and supportive space for individuals in need, with a focus on individualized care and community building.
Hello I need help finding my uncle I do believe he is here… I keep calling and I can not get anyone to answer the phones… I see a picture that looks like him sitting at the table near the laundry room if someone could please tell me what I need to do to help him that would be a blessing!!! *UPDATE*So far my experience is limited to the Cooling station, as I have not been taking in as a resident yet.During the summer time of 2023 a cooling station began at 8:00am every day of the week. Just walk up to the window and door and ask for the cooling station. You will be allowed in, and asked to sign in. You will be directed to a chair along the wall. The AC works. You can be escorted to the restroom. Coffee is free, cold water also. Perhaps you will be handed a free meal.
