I moved to Austin a year ago and was nervous about finding someone new after being with the same stylist for 15 years — and somehow I got lucky on the very first try. Megan Rumpf is incredibly talented, truly listens, and instinctively knows how to choose colors that brighten your whole look. She’s brilliant with creative cuts that work perfectly with my fine, curly hair, and she has the kind of easy, natural warmth that makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. Her little studio is a peaceful oasis, and I’m genuinely grateful to have found her.
I drive about 45 minutes to get to Casita Salon, and honestly, it’s worth everyyyy bit of the drive. I’ve bounced around salons for years (even while living abroad), and nothing compares. If you’re looking for true color artists, this is it. There’s years of experience, know exactly what they’re doing, and just understand how to make color look right.
Over the years they’ve taken me to blonde, red, and back again — and somehow it always looks natural. Balayage, highlights, big changes… they do it all, and it’s always beautiful. I’ve been a loyal client of Megan’s for over 5 years, and there’s a reason I’ve followed her through multiple salons. She is one of those rare stylists who truly understands both the art and the science of hair. She listens carefully, takes the time to understand what will work best for my hair type and lifestyle (and season!), and then executes flawlessly. Every cut and color she’s done for me has grown out beautifully and always gets me compliments.
