Requested style: I requested a certain set that worked perfectly for a Valentine’s Day, and also an event that I was attending and Lee made sure that it was perfectly what I asked for.

Specialties: I haven’t had any specialties of my own, but I feel like whatever you ask for you will get.

My first time coming here and even though I arrived late due to arriving to the wrong location, they were still willing to take me in and accommodate which was very sweet of them. The minute I stepped in I was welcomed with such hospitality and was treated very nicely. I was fortunate enough to be in the hands of Austyn who was truly amazing and so nice with me. I had gotten the eyebrow service (primarily waxing, trimming, and shaping) and Austyn left my eyebrows gorgeous! I’m always hesitant when going to someone regarding my brows, but Austyn has such an incredible background and her skills truly show when it comes to her work. She treated me as if I were a regular and those little things matter.

“I just left my first black owned nail salon, Diamondz and Desinz nail salon in Arlington. I will admit I was leary and skeptical at first, but I was very pleased when I left. I received a pedicure from Angelica who did an excellent job. They offer great options and packages. I have never had a package for a pedicure that includes gel polish and steam for your feet. They also offer drinks. The receptionist was nice kind and professional. I definitely recommend.& I will definitely be back and I don’t even live close to them. I live about 30:40 minutes but it’ll be worth the drive for me. The shop is clean and organized. They use brand new utensils on each person that they do a pedicure on it that makes me feel very safe and secure.“

“I walked into Zen Nails & Spa without an appointment and was seated right away with Mimi. She was wonderful!

I needed my old gel polish removed, and I really appreciated that she removed it gently without using a Dremel/electric sander on my nails. I work outside a lot and had been walking all over rocks at our farm, so my feet were absolutely killing me. I even explained to Mimi in Vietnamese how sore they were, and she really took her time working on them. The foot and leg massage was AMAZING and honestly worth the visit by itself!

After a pretty frightening experience on I-20 earlier that morning, the glass of wine was also very welcome. 😊

They have a great selection of gel colors with actual color books, which made choosing much easier. The salon itself is simple and not overly fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and relaxing.

I chose the pedicure one step above the basic service, and my total was $55 before tip, including gel polish, which I thought was very reasonable for the amount of time and care I received.

I will definitely be back and would absolutely ask for Mimi again. Just FYI — they are closed on Tuesdays.“
