“I started seeing Dr. Shilpa Carlson a little over a year ago. I was pleasantly surprised at how thorough she is. When I have been concerned about something, she follows through with bloodwork, tests, or a procedure. So many times, I have felt my previous doctors have dropped the ball. My case is complicated and have been trying to find someone for years who can get to the root of all my many health issues. Through Dr. Carlson listening, she was able to get me in to Vanderbilt Genomics And Therapeutic Clinic. It looks very promising with the meeting I had with the doctor there, and things are moving forward in a way that I admit, excites me.

I cannot thank Dr. Carlson enough for going above and beyond in making all this possible.. Most doctors would say it’s not their call or, as in Dr. Carlson‘s case, she told me she had never done anything like this before. Yet, She knew how much it meant to me and made it happen. What an amazing doctor to do something like this.

I highly recommend Nephrology Associates and the staff there have been exceptional. Kim, Dr. Carlson‘s nurse, is very easy to talk to and I think we could have easily become friends if we had been able to socialize together.

“I saw Trina for several years and just recently stopped due to moving out of state. Trina was always very flexible. I also felt very heard by Trina, and really felt like we were working together to find the best possible treatment plan. She always treated me like a human. “I've seen a handful of doctors and specialists at Vanderbilt over the years and this is one of my preferred locations, despite the traffic around the area. The auxiliary staff (security guards, secretaries, etc.) are all very friendly and helpful, which is important since it can be easy to get turned around. The clinic also has a free valet service. They are always busy, but still provide quick service with a smile. It's definitely worth the extra drive to come to this facility.“
