Granddaughter delivered her baby on 06 13 2026. She was a scheduled c-section. Her surgery was scheduled for 815 am. She was finally delivered at 3pm. My Granddaughter had not eaten anything since the 11th due to hyperemis. We were not allowed to see her and baby until after 5pm. We also were not allowed to see her before the surgery as she was not given a room until after baby arrived. I was not impressed at all with the way this was handled. I feel that there is definitely room for improvement
I recently hit the 10-year mark with my kidney transplant and have officially been released from the care of the University of Tennessee Medical Center Kidney Transplant Team. Moving forward, I'll continue my follow-up care with my nephrologist, but I wanted to take a moment to thank the entire transplant team for everything they've done over the years.
From day one, everyone was amazing. They took the time to explain everything to my husband and me, from what would happen during surgery to what recovery and long-term aftercare would look like. Having that information and support made a scary situation much easier to navigate.

Nick W. an RN in the emergency room treated my child very well there. He even turned off the tv for us when we didn't have a remote and a non minor friendly show was on the tv that was already turned on when we got to the room.
