University Gastroenterology is a medical practice that provides care for patients with gastrointestinal issues. Patients have praised the staff for being welcoming and professional, from check-in to departure. The doctors, including Dr. Lacy, Dr. Rollhauser, and Dr. Dalton, are known for their professionalism, concern, and thoroughness. Dr. Lacy is attentive to patient comfort during procedures, while Dr. Rollhauser consistently provides good news and shows a genuine interest in diagnosing and addressing health concerns. Dr. Dalton has been praised for his perseverance in diagnosing difficult cases and for his attentive care over a year and a half, along with his nurse, who is described as amazing. Despite some frustrations with appointment wait times and difficulties in scheduling, the staff has been helpful and responsive once patients are seen. Patients appreciate the level of care and concern shown by the providers and staff, and many feel that their issues are taken seriously and addressed promptly.
What a gift from God UTGI has been to my wife and I for over 20 years . I cannot begin to say how great Dr Rolhauser and Angie his nurse have been to both my wife and I . Professional caring knowledgeable great health care is what we have received. Great office staff as well . We are so thankful for these people and the University of Tn. Thankful to have such great medical care in east Tn .
Dr. Bayoumi is a very professional, sincere doctor. He listened to me and took my concerns seriously. And all of the staff there is very kind and considerate. I had an amazing experience. Thank you, team!
University Gastroenterology uses out dated and archaic patient scheduling requirements that cause unnecessary delays. While other agencies use technology to streamline patient access these people still use fax machines and US Postal Service to serve their patients. Calling in is also antiquated technology. They list every doctor by name to leave messages for their nurses while patients must get their message to request documents via US mail service only after listening to 5 minutes of doctors names. This causes weeks of delays and like me if you dont get the paperwork sent back in properly there is more delays. We've had colonoscopies done in 4 states including Wyoming...read full review
