I used to train in karate and that was always such a competitive environment, everyone always wanted to be better than the next person. Here it feels like we are all just pupils working towards a similar goal. Overall 10/10 and highly recommend for both the trained and untrained.“

6514 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville“This place is a second home, not only a martial arts academy. The people here will give you the shirt off of their back, and not even wish for anything in return. The instruction here is very high level, and unlike some places I’ve been to, open minded. Each instructor is respectful, kind, and knowledgeable. I went here 12 years ago, found my way back, and was treated as if I never left. Please do yourself a favor and stop in, because this is a lifestyle commitment not just a fly by night fitness gym. Love KMAA so much that it’s hard to even put it into words.“

The curriculum focuses on self-defense stuff, with an emphasis on Kata, the application of Kata, and pressure testing through sparring. A wonderful experience all told, and great fun as well.“

“This is the best hour of the week you can do for your kids. The dojo is clean, fun, and my son absolutely loves the instructor. I have referred 3 families and all 3 have been coming over 6 months now. Do not do the free class unless you plan on staying because your kid will not want to miss!“
