“I was going through Google and saw a bad review but our gym that is close to self defense solutions was named in the review . I disagree with that review and hopefully this will bring reviews up. If someone is going to leave a bad review it would be nice not to mention a different gym to go to. SORRY THIS HAPPENED!“

“I’ve been going to The Academy for almost 3 months. I’m 52 yrs old, in decent but not great shape, and had no formal Jiu-Jitsu training before I started here. Don’t let any of that stop you from training here! This is a great place! Michael and Jen are great coaches with experience and knowledge. They and are very good teachers always giving one on one instruction as needed. They teach at a pace and progression that makes sense for experienced and less experienced students. The higher belts and more experienced students are always helpful and friendly. There are no egos here. Just a family atmosphere and an environment where everyone wants everyone else to get better every day.“

“My 7yr old has been here for 1.5 yrs and it has been AWESOME! He has grown so much in areas outside of academics with this group. My guy struggles with attention and everyone is so good with him. It has been one of the best things we could have done for our child and its fun to watch the growth.
I see other reviews complaining about the payment and canceling and such... granted I haven't went to cancel but there IS a process that Mr. Pope is very clear about upfront.
If you are on the fence, look no further. This is the place!“
