As a member artist, I have found AVA to be very helpful in providing resources and services that have helped me do my work. From marketing and sales information, to continuing education events, to opportunities to show my work, they have been a REAL & tangible asset. I've also enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow members. Their director and current curator are also working artists and they understand the needs to meet.As someone who loves to view art, I'm crazy about their ongoing gallery shows and artist presentations. The AVA reminds me of my beloved CityArts in Orlando. Both galleries host calls to local artist and provide gallery space for all levels of artist experience and expression. The gallery consists of several rooms each with different themes. The show I viewed was "True Colors". It will be in display through mid April. The show featured several artists works and the theme was life changing events and the emotions experienced from them. I particularly enjoyed the gallery dedticated to young artists. Very impressive! Big shout out to the curator and super awesome person Kreneshia Whiteside she gave my students and myself an exclusive tour and she gave an amazing workshop on the curating to my students and we thank her so much
