At Woodward Adult Medicine, the providers include Dr. Treas, Dr. Sims, Dr. Mickinney, and Dr. David M Diamant. Dr. Treas is appreciated for her thoroughness and attention to detail. Dr. Sims is a great internist who shows thoroughness, kindness, and a professional opinion. Dr. Mickinney and her nurses are a joy to see, making patients feel on cloud 9, never judged, and well taken care of. Dr. Diamant goes above and beyond for all his patients. The support staff, lab techs, and nurses are always pleasant, super friendly, and the place is very clean. However, some patients are frustrated that to make an appointment, they must leave a voicemail and wait for a call back, unable to immediately talk to a scheduler.
While I love my doctor here, Prisma Health's administration is making it too difficult to receive care through all the automated processes it is enforcing on its patients. I have called the offices to schedule an appointment and the only option I have is to leave a voice mail and hope for a call back because the offices will not invest into an onsite scheduling team. Sadly, this is a poor example of not investing into the right areas of your clinic to promote positive patient care from beginning to end. I hope Woodward Adult Medicine will reconsider adding scheduling staff dedicated to providing a person who can answer the phone when patients call the office.
This is a fantastic office and practice. The office staff is efficient and friendly. I rarely wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment. And Dr Diamant is the best. I really trust his judgement.
My doctor is fine, but I followed her from another practice and now that she’s at Woodward I’m frustrated that if I want to make an appointment (as an established patient!), I have to leave a voicemail and wait for someone to call me back to schedule me. You cannot call and immediately talk to a scheduler. Very frustrating.
