I came to Yomana in February '23 with 35 years of chronic back issues primarily caused by mild-moderate thoracic scoliosis but which became much worse over the past 5 years as a result of Covid inactivity, a high-stress job, too much sitting, simultaneous major life changes, and age. Although I kept up a vigorous 2-3x/week power yoga practice, monthly massage, regular 1-6 mile walks, and bi-weekly chiropractic care, I was in constant pain, had limited mobility, and had more or less resigned myself to the fact that this is what my life was going to be like - that this was the best I could expect in my late 50s. I went for massage because I was in so much pain from a fall and left feeling amazing! Yomana really understands how the body works and was able to relieve many aches and pains. It was such a great experience, I sent my husband in for a massage which he needed badly and was very happy with the results. We both immediately scheduled another massage. Highly recommended Yomana!

I received a massage from Yomana last Sunday while visiting Newport, RI. I receive massages frequently, and I am aware of different techniques. With Yomana's massage, I have to say that it is one of the best massages I have ever had. She deeply understands muscles and the body. She tried to study my body and how my mauscle and body respond to the pressure she gave. After the massage, she took the time to talk me through how muscles work in my body. From Intuitive Alignment Massage

My massages have an objective, they are therapeutic in nature with a focus on realigning the body and moving out any tensions and blockages along the way. My deep tissue work is unique. Earning trust with each client allows deeper access to the muscular structures avoiding the need to force a way through to find relief and release. My pursuits in the healing arts led me to work with renowned teachers throughout the world. I studied personally with Reiki Masters in the foothills of the Himalayas, Tibetan Medicine Herbalists in India, Shamans in Peru, Tai Chi Masters in Chile and Medical professionals in the U.S. As a result, my professional work is a fusion of cross cultural techniques and therapeutic modalities.
