There's an old expression: if you want to get something done, give the job to someone who is busy. That was certainly true when my wife talked to Joey DiCaprio of Paysagiste LGD Inc. at a neighbour's house where his team was working on a landscaping project. He said he was busy for several months but that he could certainly do the estimate for us. We had had a previous estimate done and had planned a third one when Joey very quickly sized up our post foundation repair needs for the damaged grounds that were now ready for refurbishing. His pleasant yet knowledgeable manner and his swift estimate gave us a price we could not refuse! So we asked him to do the job for us and he set a date immediately for the end of May or beginning of June. On June 1, 2026, Joey and his team arrived at the house early to begin work. They brought up their truck, front loader and backhoe and all the other tools of the trade. The weather was perfect and they began the removal of the old sod, construction debris, branches, roots and some old stumps. They moved the back steps out of the way and removed all the patio stones to a spot out of the way of the work. They began the long job of levelling the ground to a slight angle sloping away from the house on all three sides. By the third day they were laying the membrane and topsoil and filled in a hollow under our enclosed three-season room. Their plan to finish the job on the fourth day was delayed due to an urgent requirement of their team elswhere but on the following day, they laid the sod in just four hours and moved on to their next job.
During the project, we came to know all the men who were good natured, polite, talkative and respectful. They performed the hard physical labour steadily and were fastidious in removing debris asking for nothing from us but accepting our offers of cold water on the hot days. One member of the crew also helped me voluntarily with a small cleanup of the floating ceiling in our three season room that had become encrusted with leaves, twigs and humidity sneaking in over the years. At the end of the job, Joey assisted me in putting the rear steps back in place making adjustments to the height of the steps to account for the thickness and gradient of the newly re-installed patio stones.
We are completely delighted with their work and our yard looks clean, green and orderly for the first time in years. In fact, it looks better than we had expected. So, a big shout out to Joey and his team with thanks for a job well done at a price that was just right. We highly recommend this local Dorval team for landscaping and paving work in the West Island or in Greater Montreal.

Dr. Hana Chatila is not just a dentist, she is an artist. I didn't wish to spend the money on porcelain veneers and instead went with composite. This can be quite challenging for dentists as you have to sculpt the veneer in the moment. Dr Hana masterfully sculpted composite over my front teeth to create a new and improved smile. She is a caring dentist who calmly tends to your teeth. I cannot recommend her enough.
Eye exams are professional courteous and perfectly on time. The staff are friendly, helpful and respectful so the whole eye exam experience is fantastic.
However the cost of the glasses is extremely high, like I was quoted about $1300 for a pair of glasses and they may try to sell you on their tear duct procedure which almost feels like they are selling you a timeshare.
All on all its a great place for an eye exam and then it gets a little sketchy after.

Because Winter arrived prematurely last fall, PJC was prevented from removing the foliage from our property. It involved blowing leaves out of our hedges and also the oak leaves from our neighbour's giant oak which found their way onto our lawn. Removal of all those leaves had been added onto our 4-season plan contract and we were reassured that come spring, it would be taken care of. However, by the time April rolled around, the exceptional spring weather was not conducive to the clean-up. It was only 2 days ago, April 21, that PJC Lawn and Snow was able to come do the job. We were so happy and relieved to see the great job the company's workers did. They came through for us in a big way. At the age of 82, I am happy to pay for this service instead of raking leaves, and PJC surpassed by far our expectations. Thank you, gentlemen, for a truly professional service.

In a moment of panic for my stranded daughter at 1:15am, I called the gym that was minutes away from her location to see if someone could go help her change a spare tire. It’s -30 Celsius and the tow truck drivers were telling me it would be approximately 3 hours wait time. So I searched to see if there were any businesses open 24/7 nearby and decided to call the gym for help. JOVEN AMPANIA answered the phone and came to the rescue! He was there within minutes to help my 17 yr old daughter and her friends by putting on a spare tire so that they can get back to Ottawa. He didn’t even want any money from her!
