“There's an old expression: if you want to get something done, give the job to someone who is busy. That was certainly true when my wife talked to Joey DiCaprio of Paysagiste LGD Inc. at a neighbour's house where his team was working on a landscaping project. He said he was busy for several months but that he could certainly do the estimate for us. We had had a previous estimate done and had planned a third one when Joey very quickly sized up our post foundation repair needs for the damaged grounds that were now ready for refurbishing. His pleasant yet knowledgeable manner and his swift estimate gave us a price we could not refuse! So we asked him to do the job for us and he set a date immediately for the end of May or beginning of June. On June 1, 2026, Joey and his team arrived at the house early to begin work. They brought up their truck, front loader and backhoe and all the other tools of the trade. The weather was perfect and they began the removal of the old sod, construction debris, branches, roots and some old stumps. They moved the back steps out of the way and removed all the patio stones to a spot out of the way of the work. They began the long job of levelling the ground to a slight angle sloping away from the house on all three sides. By the third day they were laying the membrane and topsoil and filled in a hollow under our enclosed three-season room. Their plan to finish the job on the fourth day was delayed due to an urgent requirement of their team elswhere but on the following day, they laid the sod in just four hours and moved on to their next job.<br>During the project, we came to know all the men who were good natured, polite, talkative and respectful. They performed the hard physical labour steadily and were fastidious in removing debris asking for nothing from us but accepting our offers of cold water on the hot days. One member of the crew also helped me voluntarily with a small cleanup of the floating ceiling in our three season room that had become encrusted with leaves, twigs and humidity sneaking in over the years. At the end of the job, Joey assisted me in putting the rear steps back in place making adjustments to the height of the steps to account for the thickness and gradient of the newly re-installed patio stones.<br>We are completely delighted with their work and our yard looks clean, green and orderly for the first time in years. In fact, it looks better than we had expected. So, a big shout out to Joey and his team with thanks for a job well done at a price that was just right. We highly recommend this local Dorval team for landscaping and paving work in the West Island or in Greater Montreal.”
