About AHN Primary Care - Century III - West Mifflin
Based on the reviews, AHN Primary Care - Century III has a mix of experiences. Some patients feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for by providers like Allison Lancas, CRNP, who combines clinical skills with empathy and performs a thorough physical exam. Dr. Porter is described as caring and compassionate, truly listening without being pushy. Dr. Syeda is an excellent physician who is knowledgeable and considerate, with great experiences from check-in to vitals. PA's McCormick and Brown are very attentive, and patients never feel rushed. Staff is generally described as professional, friendly, and awesome. However, other reviews describe being treated like a number, with issues getting prescriptions refilled without another appointment. The phone system needs work as it is hard to reach someone in the office. Wait times can also be an issue, with one patient waiting 20 minutes despite having an appointment. Overall, the quality of care depends heavily on the specific provider seen.
I appreciate how professional and responsive this office is. My biggest problem is it takes seven months to get an appointment. That's just too long to have this office as a PCP.
Let me start by saying I’ve worked in healthcare since 1991, so I’ve had a lot of experience interacting with providers. When my primary care provider left the area a few years ago, I struggled to find someone who truly felt the right fit. I’ve seen a few providers since then and, unfortunately, left each visit feeling disappointed.
That changed today.
From the moment Allison walked in, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. She took the time to listen without rushing, showed true compassion, and performed a thorough, thoughtful physical exam—something that has been noticeably lacking in my recent experiences.

They are just like every other business. Treat you like a number and only want money. I was just there in October the doctor did not refill my synthroid at that point...I message din and got a reply that I need to make another appointment? For what! It is Synthroid! I have been on it for over 5 years! Either the nurse doesn't know what she is doing, she didn't look into my chart, over worked and too busy to do their job, or simply just dont care. I am in the medical field and would never treat people this way. I should not have to see a provider again when I was just there 3 months ago!
