“I walked toward Millennia Salon earlier today and frankly, I was feeling pretty poorly. I’m a few weeks into chemo. I’d lost almost all my hair, but had scraggly remnants of what used to be my trademark curls. I was dressed in sweats because procedures done to my body make almost all clothing uncomfortable. You get the picture. I was just hoping to buy a couple of head coverings and get out before anyone judged me too terribly. What I was met with was open arms, helpful advice, lovely products to choose from, encouragement, TLC. Sharon patiently and knowledgeably helped me choose head coverings, and Rena, the owner, helped me by decisively but gently, caringly, going from scraggly to bald (which feels sooo much better). I have no doubt I’ll be back, not only for my chemo hair needs, but also later, when my hair grows back.“
