from the moment I walked in, val made me feel genuinely welcome. she is incredibly kind, patient, and easy to talk to. she took the time to really educate me about my hair. it was clear that she has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience, and she explained what she was doing every step of the way and why she was doing it. that made the entire experience feel comfortable.

throughout my appointment, val constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed anything. she did not rushed the process and took the time to answer every question I had. you can tell she truly cares about giving her clients the best possible results rather than simply getting them in and out of the chair.

my perm exceeded every expectation I had. The curls turned out absolutely beautiful, and I’ve already received so many compliments in just the few hours since leaving the salon. It’s exactly what I was hoping for—and honestly, even better.

“I walked toward Millennia Salon earlier today and frankly, I was feeling pretty poorly. I’m a few weeks into chemo. I’d lost almost all my hair, but had scraggly remnants of what used to be my trademark curls. I was dressed in sweats because procedures done to my body make almost all clothing uncomfortable. You get the picture. I was just hoping to buy a couple of head coverings and get out before anyone judged me too terribly. What I was met with was open arms, helpful advice, lovely products to choose from, encouragement, TLC. Sharon patiently and knowledgeably helped me choose head coverings, and Rena, the owner, helped me by decisively but gently, caringly, going from scraggly to bald (which feels sooo much better). I have no doubt I’ll be back, not only for my chemo hair needs, but also later, when my hair grows back.“

Alisha was nice enough to allow me to use my deposit towards another service and/or products from her website. She technically didn’t have to because I believe it was a non-refundable deposit so I really appreciated her flexibility. Other vendors we had hired, were not so accommodating, and refused to work with me given the circumstances.
