Ben the carpenter worked with us to provide drawings to submit to the historical society for approval. He then rebuilt our weather damaged bilco door and replaced our front door with a new custom build. The team then repainted and made everything look as

“David Wickes has done many projects, large and small, around our house. Like many homes in the area, age has caused everything in our house, including floors, walls, and door openings, to go slightly off-kilter. David is always keenly aware of the special issues that an older home presents when repairs or renovations are involved. He replaced our ugly, drafty, metal front door with a beautiful triple pane glass and wood door; he patiently figured out how to hang the new door properly in our slanted door opening. He also replaced a slipshod folding closet door that had been installed during an earlier renovation with a set of bespoke solid wood doors. David seems to take great joy in tracking down the perfect crystal doorknob or time-period appropriate moulding to make our house look its best. (He is also good at reparing damage inflicted on that beautiful moulding by exuberant puppies). I highly recommend David!“

“We just had two bathrooms remodeled by Falco and Sons. They did a fantastic job. Each member of the crew is a craftsman who cares about their work. They were punctual each day with their start and end time. Our house is 100 years old and in one of the bathrooms they went above and beyond to give us a good result. When they were done, they cleaned up everything really well. My only complaint if it can be called that is that they stay very busy so you can end up waiting a good while for them to start their work.“

Our insurance recommended them to take care of repairs after a pipe burst, causing extensive damage to the main floor—ceilings, walls, and floor. Despite being very busy, they slotted us in as soon as they were able and were here most weekdays for months working diligently to get our home back in shape. Joe was always friendly, didn’t mind all our questions, and showed saintlike patience and understanding as we navigated the process with our insurance company.

The crew is always polite, meticulously clean, and does beautiful, thorough work even to my untrained eye. They installed vinyl flooring and practically rebuilt a room from scratch, including drywall installation and painting. They have gone above and beyond several times, such as helping us move heavy furniture out of rooms so they could paint. The only negatives I could scrounge up would be occasional last-minute rescheduling and communication snafus, but alas, they’re only human.
