“I chose Cottage Industries for a project based on their commitment to the community and on glowing reports from friends. The key component of the project was a sunroom addition replacing a late 1950s attached greenhouse. In addition, the existing roof, siding, and windows on the house itself were reaching the end of their life spans. These items were added to the project along with some new exterior details. It was a pleasure working with Adam, Nick, and project manager, Tim. The design/build concept streamlined the process. The additional exterior work resulted in a seamless transition to the new addition. Cottage encourages communication. I don't think a day went by when I did not receive a text with updates. My questions were always answered promptly. Everyone working on the house arrived when expected and left the work areas clean and in good order at the end of the day. Needless to say, the craftsmanship was of the highest quality. I am extremely pleased with the final product and give Cottage Industries my highest recommendation.“

They explained what was going on and how the process worked. I was impressed with the way they were cleaning up as they went. Left everything as it was or better when they were through. I even treated them to lunch as they had never had cheesesteaks. House seems quieter. Maddison was helpful on setting up the appointment to give me a price and on the follow up process. And from what I have seen and read should make a great difference in the temperature in the house during the winter and summer. Would highly recommend RetroFoam to anyone who has an older house that is drafty or a colder room, whether the walls are insulated or not.“

“I saw the one of the owners of Plymouth Meeting Construction ( it’s a three man company) buy a property that was uninhabitable, completely renovate it, added an addition, a deck, and a separate garage /workshop. Of course, he had to undertake a huge project with the yard too. It was a mess. He completely re - landscaped and hardscaped. No one works harder or does more beautiful work than he and his brother (also PMC) do. He’s my neighbor!The men completely demolished and rebuilt my front porch with gorgeous flagstone. They restored the porch ceiling and centered the light fixture.I hired them in the first place because water was seeping into my basement with extremely heavy rain. After the demo, they dug and poured new foundation footing. That won’t happen any more!My photos don’t do justice.I don’t believe there are more honest, fair, creative, tough and hardworking craftsmen than the guys at PMC. I will consult with and hire them for all of my future home improvement projects .
