“My dad came from Jamaica to visit in April 2026. While visiting he became very sick. He was admitted to the hospital, where we were told that he was too sick to travel back to Jamaica and that it was very likely he could die here. He was discharged a week later from the hospital and was admitted to hospice care at my sister’s house. While my dad was in the hospital, the social worker gave us a list of funeral homes,Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc was one them. I spoke with Tyler on the phone, he was professional, his explanation of prices was very clear and precise. Immediately I knew that this is where I wanted my dad to be should he passed away here. My sisters and I later met with Luis, he was professional ,informative , patient and compassionate.I felt even more confident that we were in the right place. Unfortunately my dad died on June.24.2026, we had a viewing and service at the funeral home on July.6.2026. My dad looked amazing and the service was beautiful! His remains was forwarded on July.8-9. 2026 to Jamaica for funeral and burial. Luis was excellent and we are grateful to him and Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home for getting our dad home.
