2400 Providence Ave, Chester“Providence Animal Hospital, and especially Michelle from Providence, are the BEST! I’m out of the country and my dog was taken to VEG in Philadelphia… I called Michelle and providence to get their opinion on my dog’s condition, and she was the nicest person and did everything she could to help figure out the best plan of care for my dog. It meant so much to me that Michelle genuinely cared that much about my dog and did everything she could to help, unlike some of the people at VEG. Not even kidding, Michelle’s bosses should triple her salary and give her a 3 month paid vacation… SHE IS THE BEST!!!“

2518 West Chester Pike, Broomall“We have been going to Dr. Brady for over 13 years. This office is so compassionate, accommodating and knowledgeable. Our dogs have always loved to go to the vet. That should be all you need to know.“

4 S Newtown Street Rd, Newtown Square“Another successful visit for our pup Tink's 5th birthday exam. Dr. Rufus & Bob are extremely caring & consciencious, and loving & professional at the same time. Not an easy feat, but they do it with ease. We have used them for over 25 years with all of our pets, and have never had a single problem with their care of our "babies". Thank you both for your wonderful, professional, & caring service!!“

1 N Providence Rd, Wallingford“Recently switched to Unity after a bad experience with my previous vet. My bulldog had been getting reoccurring skin infections and experienced hair loss over most of his body. Got an appointment quite quickly and as soon as Dr. Trow saw him she immediately relayed that she thought that he had Cushings Syndrome. After an 8 hour test the results did come back positive for Cushings. She quickly put him on a treatment plan and it's been a little over a month and he's doing much better. His hair is growing back, his sores are almost non-existent and he's even lost a few pounds. God bless Dr. Trow, she literally saved my dogs life.“
9AM - 6PM
101 E Garrison Rd, Brookhaven“Dr. Kwon just blew my mind with his vet skills. I have never seen my dog act so calm at a vet before. As soon as Dr Kwon came into the room, he sat on the floor to greet my dog. He spent a lot of time explaining everything to me and then did NOT try to nickle and dime me at the end like my last vet did.
All around a great place to go with a super friendly staff.“

392 Kings Hwy, Swedesboro“Today was my first visit and well worth the trip. All the staff was friendly, caring, and attentive. They listened to all concerns and addressed each one of them individually. The physician, Dr. Dinwiddie thoroughly communicated her findings and answered all questions asked. I would definitely by pass all other animal hospitals when seeking emergency care and treatment for my dog. Thank you very much for the work that all of you do! Blessings and Stay safe, Vasco's Mommy ? “

3900 Delancey St, Philadelphia“My dog was very sick when I brought her in to be evaluated. She had to be there for 7 days and had to have 3 blood transfusions. Dr. Wallace and Jesse took such good care of my girl. I can’t say enough about how well my girl was cared for by them. I am so grateful I was able to bring her home that she recovered and for everyone at this hospital.“

8AM - 8PM
392 Kings Hwy, Woolwich“Update below:
My dog was their patient for 13 years and when I called to have my dog euthanized because he was dieing from lack of air due to cancer, I was told they couldn't see him that day but I would have to make an appointment and they didn't have any opening until the next day. I told them he wouldn't make it to the next day. They have no compassion for your pets. Called another vet and they said bring him right in. Never made it to the vet he passed away at home.
Update to this review:
My dog's doctor, Dr. Robinson, and staff were extremely apologic the way this situation was handled so I decided to give them another chance with my other dog, who is diabetic and has a bad heart. The doctor and staff are extremely friendly and caring for my dog and I am pleased now and give them 4 stars.“

3900 Spruce St, Philadelphia“On Sunday October 6, it was a warm sunny day. My fully 6ft wood paneled fenced in backyard (replaced in spring recent) and enforced with chicken wire round the top, allowed my two kitties to roam about and enjoy outside safely. Never, could I ever imagine a rogue pit bull would jump my neighbors low wire fence into an adjacent neighbor’s yard and then ram his head through my wooden fence. He was after my fluffy Lucy cat and he tossed her around like she was an irrelevant plaything from his toy box!! We yelled, cursed and tried to make him release her from his jaw—but no way would he let go. He beat her about on any surface he could find, smiled when we demand him to “drop it!” And only by the grace of GOD were we able to retrieve her near lifeless body and rush her to the local vet with the help of the dogs owner.
Lucy sustained a broken jaw and multiple jaw fractures, 2 fractures of the vertebrae, a concussion, brain trauma that is still TBD and loss of multiple teeth. When our local vet stabilized her, they admitted they could not treat the level of injury she suffered. They recommended Univeristy of Pennsylvania Matthew J Ryan vet hospital to treat her.
With a healthy dose of pain meds, we drove her in the back of our truck on a makeshift stretcher(cardboard, towel, medical tape bound) to the best option available to diagnose whether, 1) they could help her or 2) it was a lost cause and euthanasia was most fair. With a heavy heart and trauma of our own we moved forward—but were delayed by a minor fender bender, not life altering in a basic sense, but Lucy was on a time clock!!
When we finally arrived, a 3rd year resident took our admittance info and was nothing less than empathetic. The ER doctor said she had a good chance so we trudged on. Day after day of ups and downs. Woke up great, maybe had a seizure, woke up better, needs transfusion, may be septic, better white blood cell count today..etc. It was like that for 8 days til sugery was finally viable and two days later, she is home and now five days after, getting stronger each day.
I do want to shout out to my contracted pet insurance Company though USAA, your company has been fair, paid the appropriate coverage, without challenge, and just a note that paying for pet ins, is without a doubt, one of the more adult things I’ve done in life and in doing so has paid its value. Both claims submitted were paid and deposited in my bank account within one day (even though they mention 2-3 bus days).
Their prompt payments were a huge relief for me. I had to take out a personal loan to cover the cost I had to spend across 3 credit cards to pay for Lucy’s surgery the day I picked her up. Her insurance covers 15k accident/illness ins. Her final bill before checkups and wire removal was almost 25k, but imagine if I didn’t have Insurance. This would definitely be a place where I find my self in a challenging spot.
Bottom line:
The university of Penn veterinary hospital is one of the best hospitals for Vetinary science on the east coast. From my experience, the state of the art techniques and analysis they provide at their hospital is unmatched. If you are in desperate times, and your pet is ill, these are the folks to handle your case. They take the life of your pet seriously and they take the love for your pet from you seriously.“

“We were at Prospect Park veterinary on Wednesday. Unfortunately, we had to have our 15 year-old cat put to sleep. Dr. Lee and everyone at the Vet were wonderful, so kind and compassionate. They definitely made a very difficult experience easier for us.“
