I think the three most important qualities of a school are 1) competent teachers that care about the outcomes of their students, 2) reputation, and 3) price.

I had the lucky situation of getting to experience all of the teachers that AMTB has to offer; even if it was for just one or a couple of classes. Every single one of them cared about their students, and they all knew their subject material very well. In particular, Angela was my massage teacher, and she is one of the best teachers I’ve had in my life! She truly wants everyone to succeed and really puts in work to help her students and staff. On top of that, she’s a very skilled and very experienced massage therapist.

As for reputation, I called several local massage places before choosing which school to go to and they all had great things to say about AMTB. They offer many high-quality continuing education credits as well, with Forearm Fusion being what they are known for. No matter which teacher you have, they all put a lot of value on helping you with your body mechanics. Using forearms takes a lot of strain away from your hands, which will help add longevity to your career. Just got hired, which was super low effort. The owner knew my teacher and knows she does a good job training her students.

Price was $8,000 when I went there, which I think is more than reasonable. More importantly though, the school is willing to work with you to help make paying as painless as possible. They are very flexible.
