We had two retaining walls lining our driveway replaced during the summer of 2023. We collected quotes from six companies for the project. As you can see, the "before" picture shows one of our crumbling natural stone walls. They needed a LOT of work. Rolling Hills Landscapes offered what we felt was the best product for the price. The service we received during the process was wonderful.

Amanda Linder communicated with us throughout the entire process, and her customer service was just incredible. She explained everything from cost breakdown and permit requirements to design and add-on options. We never felt sales pressure from her, and she was patient with our questions. She maintained consistent contact with us from start to finish.

The crew who worked on the project was also respectful of our property, our neighbor's property, and our privacy. They took care not to damage the concrete driveway. I think they left things in better shape than they found it. Rolling Hills even coordinated with us on where to put grass seed so we could do our own landscaping.

Finally, the product we received it great. We have two beautiful stone walls at a reasonable price, including drainage and interlocking blocks to ensure they're sturdy and last. Over the last year and a half, they've stayed secure and still look beautiful. We can't recommend Rolling Hills Landscapes enough for your retaining wall needs!“

“Rick is AMAZING!!! He knocked out our giant (uphill) backyard in two days with his crew. Our backyard went from being a black-tarped wasteland with a handful of struggling bushes to a beautiful, no hassle, plant paradise. He thoughtfully selected deer resistant plants as well as minimal to no maintenance plants and placed them so they look good now as well as as they mature and also used our existing bushes, moving them as necessary.

He also took care of our small front yard and side yards, and laid fresh mulch down on all of it.

We have been trying to get this project completed for the past three years, each year we would have multiple landscapers come out to give us quotes, only to never hear from them again. To add to everything, this was actually affordable, especially in comparison to other quotes.

His crew was professional and respectful, not only of our property but also our neighbors'.

“The folks at Terra Green are very good people to deal with. They listened to our concerns for improving the landscape around our home and were very patient in dealing with changes and money concerns. They were quick to answer questions and concerns even though we made some changes to their recommendations and went over their design several times.

We had hardscape work done initially including the installation of new steps on one side of our home and a garbage enclosure on the other side. We split work over a couple of years to better handle finances and the hardscape was the first work completed.

We also chose to eliminate some of our grass areas because they were difficult to maintain and to keep out weeds. Their design recommendation was to use stone of various kinds in several locations. The installation of a new lawn and garden area was the last part of the work. Though we had some issues they were quick to resolve them. For example, some plants that were installed did not thrive and they replaced some and will replace others in 2025. The front lawn was installed but the grass did not grow or grow only in spots and they replanted.

We hired them because they are listed on the Phipps Conservatory Landcare list. We are also impressed that they are recognized as the Small Business of the Year by the University of Pittsburgh as well as recognized for their sustainable designs and products. Though they are small, they provide excellent service.“

“the owner operator is online threatening people in the US Military telling them to come fight him in Pittsburgh. this guy is unhinged. be careful if you hire this guy. he is known for making death threats and challenging people to fight. he obiviously hates the military, we don't know why, very unhinged“

“Anthony and his crew did a great job of pruning, trimming, and cutting a huge, old, half dead Silver Maple in our back yard. We had perfect weather for December, so don’t think it’s too late to complete your project this year, or winter.If it’s not windy, and the conditions are safe, see if he can fit you in. That’s what he did for me after a quick call last week for an estimate. I called him Wednesday morning, he called me back Wednesday evening, then Friday he gave me an estimate, and at that time I told him I could also use some cord wood to burn in outdoor fire pit. Sunday he delivered wood, then Monday morning he arrived with his crew to tackle the old, big Maple. The enormous tree was partially hanging over the street, and a neighbors yard, next to a fence in the back of my yard. It was interesting to watch them handle a difficult task with efficiency and precision, and at the same time be careful and respectful of our yard, the street and the neighbors.
