Was in a panic after trying to install a smart home thermostat and seeing the dreaded Google nest E298 error code meaning no power to home HVAC unit. Didn’t know what do to after checking the basic controller unit, replacing its fuses, and having same problem. Got Frank’s number from an electrician and he promptly responded and walked me though a quick troubleshoot to find the problem. He could have made a service call, diagnosed the problem, and charged me, but he was nice enough to go through some quick checks before doing so, and solved the problem.
