I’ve been going here—or previous shops under the same management—for about 20 years. I always get a great cut. Anytime I’ve had to get a haircut anywhere else, it’s never been as good. Those hipster barber shops are tempting but you’ll get a better cut here and it’ll cost you way less.

To all Philadelphia locals: this is the place to get your haircut.The staff are wonderful, and after about 5 haircuts here, I can confidently say that they’re some of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. They usually have availability, even same-day, and I suggest you give them a try.The shop is conveniently located (near Rittenhouse Square) and they have a coat rack / bag hooks for your stuff in case you need it.A men’s haircut here is also pretty reasonably priced — I’ve looked all over and haven’t found the same quality:price ratio anywhere else.If you get the chance, you should try and have Rita as your hairdresser!

The late, great Lou Cioci, owner of All About Hair, was my barber and friend for more than 30 years. So it was with some trepidation that I returned to the shop for a haircut this spring. But Sule (pronounced Shula) Cakir, a vivacious, young Turkish immigrant who was Lou's protégée, did a great job. And the warm banter among the customers, stylists and Lou's widow Josie, who greets all the customers and commands the register, was as I remembered. So I plan to keep coming back to All About Hair and recommend that others join me.
